Hygge (pronounced Hoo-ga) is named as such after a Danish concept which encompasses a feeling of cosy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life. We have no doubt that you will feel utterly relaxed in the apartment, watching the world sail by whilst you enjoy a cup of tea in the morning, or a Salcombe Gin and tonic in the evening as the sun goes down.
Hygge has incredible 180 degree panoramic views across the water overlooking East Portlemouth’s beautiful sandy beaches, sweeping round to the harbour and out of the estuary. Relax on one of the stylish sun loungers or take a seat on the comfortable outside living area and simply enjoy.
Situated on the site of the former Sunny Cliff Hotel, the position of this stylish apartment is sensational. It’s right on the edge of the estuary, yet a stones throw from all the action in town, the local sandy beaches of North and South Sands, and the famed Winking Prawn beach shack.
Walking down steps from the parking area, you enter the apartment via the generous, private and secure terrace which stretches across the whole of the property.
The apartment consists of two generously sized bedrooms. The master super king has panoramic harbour views, a large en suite shower room with twin sinks, and a door leading out to the fabulous terrace.
The second bedroom (also with stunning estuary views and access onto the terrace) can be made up as either a twin or super king, and has its own en suite bathroom with shower overhead.
The main open plan living area has full width folding doors which make the most of the magnificent views. Inside there is a comfortable seating area, dining table and a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar.
The gardens below the development are yours to explore and lead down to the waters edge where picnics and sundowners are a must. Please note that there are many steep steps down and young children will need to be supervised.
The apartment is just a short walk from the centre of town so you are only minutes away from all the action. There is one parking space available with the apartment accommodating one large 4×4 or two small vehicles. The front door is down 26 steps from the parking area.
