4 Island Street Overview

4 Island Street sits at the beginning of the artisanal area of Salcombe, and is only a short, level stroll to where you can buy freshly baked croissants and your paper in the morning, or find local pubs and restaurants in the evening. Nearby access to the waterfront means you can easily nip on to your paddle board for a sunrise sup.

This pretty property sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, and offers quality family accommodation with an outside seating area plus a decked, glass and aluminium balcony on the first floor balcony with views and seating for 6.

Entering the cottage, the stone tiled hallway leads to the beautifully furnished sitting room with comfortable sofas, beanbags and television; a great space for relaxing at the end of a busy day.

This leads to the open plan dining and well-appointed kitchen area. The back door off the kitchen leads out to a small courtyard with an outdoor hot shower – the perfect place to wash off sandy toes and wetsuits after a day on the beach. There is also a garden bench, bistro table and chairs to use in the courtyard as a further area for entertaining.

Upstairs you’ll find an elegantly furnished kingsize bedroom, a double bunk room (only the lower bunks to be used for 2 guests) and a gorgeous family shower room. A further double bedroom has a glass door out to a fantastic balcony with views of Fish Quay, Shadycombe and the Batson Creeks. There is a wooden table and seating for six so you’ll be able to enjoy an alfresco meal, evening drinks, or the opportunity to read a book in the sunshine.

No pets allowed.

Smoking not allowed inside.

Allergies: please note that dogs have been in 4 Island Street.

Please note: The back courtyard area has shared access with the cottage next door; they are allowed to walk through the back gate to get into their back door.

In true Devonian style, also in the courtyard area is an outside toilet. Only Mike, the next door jewellery shop owner, is allowed access to this. Mike is very respectful of the courtyard space, and the owners have had no issue with him.
